10-Day Egypt Adventure: Cairo, Fayoum & The Red Sea

Experience some of the most incredible parts of the country, from historic sites, modern-day city life, and charming Bedouin villages to vibrant coral reefs & relaxing crystal-clear beaches.

Here’s what to expect:

✨ You’ll spend a few days soaking up Egypt’s unique history and culture in Cairo. After hitting iconic bucket-list sites like the Pyramids of Giza and the recently opened Grand Egyptian Museum, you can venture off to some off-the-beaten-path spots and enjoy local Egyptian gems most tourists don’t know about.

✨ Just a short drive from Cairo is Fayoum, a hidden oasis full of natural beauty and artistry. You’ll explore the peaceful lakes, the charming village of Tunis with lovely local pottery, and the desert landscapes that make this area so special.

✨ Spend your last few days in Sharm El Sheikh & Dahab on the Red Sea. These laid-back coastal towns are filled with hip restaurants and shops, and you’ll get to check out stunning coral reefs, relax on the beaches, and get a taste of laid-back Bedouin life.

This itinerary is truly the perfect combination of city, desert, village, and beach life!

DAY 1

You'll be picked up from the airport and taken to your beautiful hotel in Cairo. We'll meet for the first time as a group for a private dinner on a Nile River boat for delicious traditional Egyptian food and live music. This is a chance to get acquainted and comfy with your fellow travelers!

DAY 2

You’ll head to Old Cairo to visit the Salah El Din Citadel & Mosque of Mohamed Ali. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to learn more about ancient history and see the mummies of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs! You’ll head to a famous souk called “Khan Al Khalil” in Cairo's most historic area for lunch and to shop for handmade goods and souvenirs.

DAY 3

After breakfast, You’ll head to Saqqara, which has the oldest complete stone pyramid in the world, the Pyramid of Djoser. Learn more about the earliest ancient Egyptian history in Memphis City and visit tombs where you can witness some incredible hieroglyphics and carvings. Get to see some local textiles and artisan crafts and taste some Egyptian delicacies for dinner!

DAY 4

You’ll get a guided tour of the famous Pyramids of Giza and the monumental Sphynx up close & camel ride through the desert. Have lunch at a beautiful cafe with a pyramid view and then head to the Grand Egyptian Museum to deepen our knowledge of these fascinating ancient civilizations. You’ll spend our evening dining at a delicious local restaurant.

DAY 5

You’ll venture to Fayoum Oasis, a short drive from Cairo, to visit a local village known for its stunning pottery. From there, you’ll have the option to see stunning nearby waterfalls on a desert safari cruising over dunes. You can sandboard or relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sahara Desert. Spend the evening at Magic Lake before enjoying a delicious dinner in Fayoum.

DAY 6

You’ll catch an early flight to Sharm El Sheikh, a beach town on the Red Sea. After checking into our beautiful boutique hotel on the beach, you’ll head to the White Island & Ras Muhammad National Park to enjoy the breathtaking white sand beaches and stunning natural sites. We’ll enjoy dinner at an iconic Egyptian cafe.

DAY 7

You’ll head to Dahab, about an hour from Sharm El Shiekh, and from there, take a private boat to one of the most magical beaches in Egypt. Its crystal blue waters are breathtaking – you can kite surf, swim, or relax on the beach in bedouin huts. You’ll spend dinner at a special hidden place in the mountains with live music and stargazing.

DAY 8

You’ll head to Gabr El Bint, one of the most attractive diving sites in Egypt. Here, you can explore the vibrant reefs and abundance of colorful sea life. You’ll have some time to wander around the charming beach town of Dahab before we meet up for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. There are plenty of evening spots to grab a drink or smoke hookah and relax by the water.

DAY 9

Enjoy your time exploring the town & beaches of Dahab and shopping around at local spots. We'll leave for Saint Catherine Monastery, a biblically significant ancient site, for an evening hike. You’ll reach the summit with a bedouin guide for a breathtaking sunrise and head back to Cairo for your last night in the city.

DAY 10

This will be your last day in Cairo. You'll have time to rest up or do some final exploring before your last meal together. This is also the moment where everyone considers staying longer because they’re having such an amazing time exploring more of this magnificent country. Here, we'll say "Maa Salama" or goodbye until next time!
