Top 10 Best Hotels Near the Pyramids With Breathtaking Views

As someone who hosts group trips to Egypt, designs custom itineraries, and visits often, I definitely recommend staying at a hotel next to the Pyramids of Giza if you can.

First of all, you’re traveling to Egypt –yay! That’s super exciting.

You’ll want to soak up as much of the ancient wonders as you can. Having breakfast while staring at the Great Sphinx and watching the sunset over the Pyramids of Giza is surreal.

To witness something so ancient, and also spend more than just a day tour there, is totally worth it, trust me. I recommend travelers stay one or two nights in Giza and a night or two in a hotel near downtown Cairo.

A heads up that Giza (the area surrounding the pyramids) isn’t the easiest to navigate as a foreigner and is certainly not luxurious. So knowing which hotels in Giza are the most comfortable, have the best amenities, and offer great customer service is important. And, of course, the most incredible view of the pyramids!

So, I’m sharing the 10 best hotels next to the pyramids, including my favorite luxury and budget-friendly options.

If you’re in a rush, here are my top picks based on budget:

10 Best Hotels Near the Pyramids of Giza:

The view from the rooftop at Atlantis Pyramids Inn.

Atlantis Pyramids Inn (New) $

This hotel by the pyramids is amazing. I swear, you’ll fall in love with the energy of this place! If you want to pay hostel prices and enjoy comfortable rooms and wonderful views, this is a great choice. It says “New” because a couple of years ago, they moved. The hotel used to be right in front of the Sphinx, but they moved to directly across from the new pyramids’ entrance. You’ll get one of the best pyramid views from the rooftop and top-tier hospitality from the Sufi family that owns it. They brought me tea and fruit, and played live music, singing with tablas. I loved it. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you’re on a tighter budget.

The view from the King Suite with a balcony at Galaxy Pyramids View Inn.

Galaxy Pyramids View Inn $$

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast style stay, with many options for room types, including suites, family rooms, studios with a jacuzzi tub, and an incredible view of all three pyramids! The options are great, especially if you’re traveling with a partner, a small group, or a family. I love that it’s private and a great place to land after a flight or between your tours of the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The staff will go above and beyond to meet your needs, and the place is super clean, cozy, and well-decorated. Also, the beds were pleasantly comfortable, which I really appreciated after being jet-lagged due to a long-flight. You will absolutely love your time here!

Breakfast on the rooftop of Antique Pyramids Inn.

Antique Pyramids Inn $

Another wonderful guesthouse, you’ll enjoy a super close rooftop view of the pyramids. The rooms are simple, yet clean and comfortable, and the staff is amazing and incredibly accommodating. You’ll feel embraced like a member of the family by the time you check out. And actually, a traveler who booked my tour services said she felt super safe there as a solo female traveler, which is always a plus! This place is budget-friendly and will not disappoint, I can assure you.

This is the Deluxe Suite with Pyramid View at Kove Hotel.

Kove Hotel by the Pyramids $$

This hotel is stunning. I mean…look at it! It’s contemporary, minimalist, and spacious with a hint of Egyptian spice. You’ll get amazing views of the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum from the balcony and rooftop. The standalone bathtub right in front of the window overlooking the pyramids is a great touch (be sure to book the suite for this). Otherwise, great simple breakfast, excellent service, and nothing but wonderful reviews. The only thing to keep in mind is that building from the outside looks nothing like what’s inside. It’s truly a hidden gem that will make your Egypt trip so memorable!

Breakfast view from the rooftop of Al Farida Boutique Pyramids.

Al Farida Boutique Pyramids $

This boutique hotel is wonderful. You’ll get epic sunsets over the pyramids from this rooftop and certainly enjoy your stay. It’s super close to the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids’ site. Everything is brand new, including all the furniture, and the beds are comfortable (which you’ll appreciate after a long day tour of Egypt). The staff is so accommodating, welcoming, and kind, plus you’ll get a delicious Egyptian-style breakfast overlooking the pyramids (pictured above). The decor is simple, but it has a spacious and clean interior— great for a night or two. Overall, great value for the price.

Deluxe Family Room at Pyramids Comfort.

Pyramids Comfort $

Of all the hotels in Egypt I’ve seen, this onereally gives ancient Egypt. First off, the view of the pyramids is impeccable, especially from the rooftop. Every corner is decorated as if you’ve stepped into an Egyptian temple or museum full of artifacts, with King Tut statues and hieroglyphic wallpaper. It’s not the most upscale, but it’s comfortable and super near the Pyramids (about as close as you can get!). The food is delicious, and the hospitality is top-tier. If you’re traveling to Egypt with your family or a group, this is a great option, as many of their rooms have multiple beds.

Rooftop sunset view at DAR Pyramids View Inn.

DAR Pyramids View Inn $

This hotel has some of the best reviews I’ve seen in Egypt, especially for Wifi (which usually isn’t very strong). Whatever they’re doing at DAR, it’s working! As a remote worker, wifi connection is super important, which makes this hotel a little extra appealing. It’s a bit further away from the pyramids than some of the other hotels, but the view is still great, and the staff is helpful and kind. The neighborhood around the hotel isn’t great for walking around, but you’re really only there for two things: to sleep and for the incredible sunset view of the pyramids.

Rooftop sunset view at Pyramids Gate Hotel.

Pyramids Gate Hotel $

Another wonderful stay for a great value, this hotel is close to the Pyramids of Giza entrance (only a couple of minutes). If you’re on a budget, you’ll be able to pay hostel prices to stay at this lovely, family-owned hotel. Prepare to be spoiled! Complimentary tea brought to your room, fruit plates, and front desk staff who will organize everything for you. And the breakfast with a rooftop view of the pyramids is unmatched. An excellent choice for the budget traveler who wants to feel welcomed to Egypt with the utmost warmth and care.

Sunset view from the garden at Marriott Mena House.

Marriott Mena House $$$$

This is an iconic luxury hotel that has a wonderful view of the pyramids, a giant, lush garden surrounded by palm trees, and spacious rooms. The view is unmatched, and one of the closest hotels to the Pyramids, especially the view of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. I recommend staying here for the views, luxury accommodations, and elite experience, not to mention the insane photos you’ll get! Like any luxury hotel, you’ll be treated like royalty while you’re in Egypt. Definitely an excellent choice for this once-in-a-lifetime experience if you can afford it!

View of the pool and pyramids at Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo.

Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo $$$

A 5-star hotel right across from the new Grand Egyptian Museum with a great view of the Pyramids as well. This is a great choice if you want a luxury experience without spending insane prices. The rooms are nicely furnished, the pool is a wonderful addition (especially in the heat of the summer), and the beds are super comfortable! The service and ambiance of the hotel are excellent, and you’ll spend your time lounging and relaxing after a long day of tours away from the chaos of Cairo. Great breakfast as well! One thing I’ll mention is that although the Grand Egyptian Museum is right across the street, the highway isn’t very accessible on foot, and you’ll still have to drive through traffic to enter (which is to be expected at most places in Cairo). Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice!

Disclaimer: not every room in the hotels listed above has a pyramid view, so make sure to book a room where that’s explicitly stated (typically called Mountain View) or depicted in the individual photos. Otherwise, you can enjoy an equally breathtaking view from the rooftop!
