It’s seriously so wonderful.

This is an absolutely stunning private suite with one of the best views of the Pyramids of Giza. Imagine sipping your morning coffee in a bathtub this close to the most iconic monument in the world. A once-in-a-lifetime experience! The staff was super kind and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh, delicious, and super generous. The only thing to keep in mind is the street noise outside. But if you’re a deep sleeper or okay with using earplugs—I highly recommend!

Going to Egypt for a romantic getaway? This is the spot! First off, the Nile view is breathtaking, and possibly the best I’ve seen. This is ideal if you want to be near downtown and a quick Uber ride away from most of the restaurants and bars in Cairo. Everything in this hotel is new and spotless, the beds are super comfy (which you’ll appreciate especially after a long flight), and hospitality is 10/10! You’ll have access to a mini-bar, which is not always common in Egypt. I definitely recommend.

A beautifully designed historic mansion in the safest and most walkable neighborhood in Cairo. You’ll feel like royalty in a palace and be treated with the utmost care by the staff. Zamalek is absolutely my favorite area to stay in; it’s a Nile Island surrounded by river views, and this stunning hotel is smack dab in the middle of it! If you want to have a really charming, spacious room super close and within walking distance to some of the best boutique stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, this is it.

Modern design combined with a touch of ancient Egyptian flavor, this is a beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the pyramids! It feels like a luxury experience at an insanely great price, and the staff's hospitality will make you feel right at home. The exterior of the building is unassuming and might throw you off at first. But once you step inside, you’ll feel like you’re in a dream.

This hotel has so much character, I loved it! First off, the Pyramids’ view from the rooftop is magnificent; it’s directly across from the new main entrance, so super ideal if you’re doing pyramids tours during your stay. You’ll pay hostel prices for a lovely Bedouin-style bed and breakfast with floor seating, Sufi decor, and ancient Egyptian embellishments. The rooms are modest-sized, clean, and great for the value. Also, the owners are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met! By the end of my stay, I was drinking tea with them, singing Sufi songs, and smoking hookah until midnight. If you choose to stay here, I guarantee it’ll be incredibly memorable.

This boutique hotel is breathtaking!! If you’re looking for a luxurious experience in Cairo that still feels like you’re in Egypt, this is the place. The rooftop restaurant and sun terrace are worth it on their own (the food is so delicious), but the rooms are also so beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The interior design is modern in a historic building in the center of downtown. It’s a short walk to Tahrir Square and the Nile Corniche, surrounded by tons of restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. If you have the budget, this will be a highlight of your trip!

This is truly a home away from home experience. If you want incredible hospitality and a super close view of the Great Pyramid, I recommend staying here for one or two nights. It’s pretty much a family home converted bed and breakfast, with a few comfortable and modern rooms, and the hosts will make you feel right at home immediately. The breakfast is traditional Egyptian food (as pictured above), and you’ll be about as close to the Pyramids as you can get without being inside the site.

Insanely gorgeous apartments in the heart of downtown Cairo (I mean, just look at them!). This is an Egyptian vintage-style vibe (think modern Oum Kalthoum) with all the essential amenities. This is super ideal if you’re going with your family or a small group, as they have multiple options for two-bedroom apartments. It’s central to the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square, and close to some of my favorite coffee shops and restaurants. Not quite a hotel, they have an excellent 24/7 concierge service. No breakfast, but there are some great spots within walking distance if you’re down for a morning adventure!

Simple, yet so stunning, this is another hotel with amazing pyramid views for a great price! The staff is super helpful, and you’ll get a clean and spacious room and a delicious breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the pyramids. Although breakfast is served a bit later, you may want to arrange something the night before if you’re heading off for an early morning tour. Hospitality is amazing, and because it’s such a small hotel, they’ll make you feel right at home and take care of everything.

My final pick for you is this exceptionally beautiful, Islamic-inspired boutique hotel located in old historic Cairo. Aside from the charm and unique decor, you’ll absolutely feel the most cared for by the staff. They serve breakfast & dinner, and the family will take care of every one of your needs. It’s in the middle of the bustle of Islamic Cairo, meaning there are going to be bazaars and street parties nearby. If you’re up for sleeping with earplugs, or not sleeping much, it’s totally worth it. I can confidently say, you won’t find a hotel like this anywhere else in the world.
